AMK was founded in 1989. It later became AMK FOOD EXPORT (PVT) LTD when Incorporate as a limited liability company in 2001. The company is situated within the Homagama Industrial Zone and boasts a well-equipped, certified modern factory.

AMK Foods specializes in preparing preservative-free bottled delicacies, locking in the flavor of 100% natural ingredients. It is one of the market leaders in the field of processed foods in Sri Lanka and enjoys an exceptional reputation in the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Korea, Switzerland, Japan, and other prestigious markets.

There are more than 100 food items available under the categories of Sambol, Fried Delicacies, Curries, Pickles, Mallums, Curry Pastes, Brined vegetables, Chutneys, Jam, Spices, Curry powders, Dehydrated products, Rice, Dry fish, and Sweets. These products are sold around the globe and are a popular pick because of their fresh and natural flavor.

AMK, the brainchild of Ranjith Attanayaka, who in his formative years majored in agricultural machinery in Japan, was inspired in 1989 to provide a service to bring a little bit of home to the many Sri Lankan expatriates, and this was the beginning of AMK EXPORTS (PVT) LTD.
